Role Overview

Tejar is looking for a Senior Web Developer who will help architect, build and deliver modules that add to and improve the feature set, reliability, scalability and performance of the applications. The candidate will work closely with the team and guide Junior Web Developers to deliver on the requirements. This role requires a passion for working with different technologies such as web, virtualisation, databases, storage and security.

Job Responsibilities

• Acquire and assist in interpreting project requirements, create a functional specification and determine the most efficient technologies to move forward
• Research and improve current coding standards followed by the team
• Submit and review technical and process improvement recommendations
• Work with the team to plan new features, gather requirements and suggest solutions
• Support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release and support)
• Manage API integration
• Assist in analysis of product models, logical specifications and specified requirements
• Perform complex programming assignments requiring an advanced aptitude of established programming standards and time-efficient methods
• Help mitigate significant risks associated with projects, which have a high technical complexity and/or involve significant challenges to the functionality and accessibility
• Write clear and concise codes and document them proactively
• Manage and prioritise workload between project and maintenance tasks
• Maintain and modify applications; make approved changes by amending application documentation, developing detailed programming logic and module updates
• Provide support for critical application problems and issues to Junior Web Developers

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent degree in the relevant field
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Web Developer with PHP frameworks and proficiency in SQL databases using XML and JSON formats
• In-depth knowledge of server-side structured programming languages
• Exceptional understanding of fundamental front-end languages with expertise in HTML and CSS
• Proficiency in JavaScript and other JS frameworks (AngularJS, ReactJS, Ajax) is preferable
• Familiarity with database management systems
• Solid understanding of web development best practices, including responsive design and accessibility
• Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git and experience working with code repositories
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with the team
• Detail-oriented mindset and ability to deliver high-quality work within project timelines
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
