HC Trade and Engineering Private Limited is seeking a skilled and experienced Assistant Manager Taxation to oversee the companys comprehensive taxation activities, regulatory compliance, and statutory reporting. This role demands a solid practical understanding of Pakistan's federal and provincial tax laws and the capability to independently manage complex tax matters, audits, notices, and timely regulatory filings. The ideal candidate will lead a team of three, guiding them to ensure accurate and compliant tax processes while providing strategic tax planning support for business operations. The Assistant Manager Taxation plays a critical role in preparing and submitting various federal and provincial tax returns, managing withholding taxes, and coordinating tax audits conducted by regulatory bodies such as the Federal Board of Revenue and provincial revenue authorities. This position requires close liaison with tax consultants, auditors, and government agencies. In addition to ensuring compliance, the role focuses on staying up to date with tax law changes and advising management on implications, thus directly influencing the companys financial health and legal standing.
Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit monthly and annual Sales Tax Returns to the Federal Board of Revenue.
• Manage preparation and filing of monthly sales tax returns for provincial revenue authorities including Punjab Revenue Authority, Sindh Revenue Board, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority.
• Prepare and file Income Tax Returns accurately and timely for the company.
• Oversee withholding tax compliance including management of tax deductions and timely tax payments.
• Handle statutory filings and annual returns with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), ensuring full regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate and manage tax audits from various federal and provincial tax authorities, ensuring all observations and notices are addressed promptly and accurately.
• Draft and submit replies to tax notices, audit queries, and regulatory correspondences efficiently and professionally.
• Maintain and organize comprehensive tax records, reconciliations, and compliance documentation in adherence to regulations.
• Monitor updates and changes in federal and provincial tax laws and communicate their implications and compliance requirements to the management team.
• Serve as a liaison between the company, consultants, auditors, and tax authorities to facilitate smooth inquiry handling and compliance.
• Provide expert tax planning and compliance advice for complex transactions and day-to-day operational activities to optimize tax efficiency.
• Lead and supervise a team of three, ensuring their development and performance to meet departmental and organizational goals.
