Responsibilities
- Build and operate agents across the testing lifecycle, including test design, generation, maintenance, execution, and failure triage.
- Own infrastructure for agent-driven testing, including environments, test data, tool interfaces, guardrails, runtime controls, and cost controls.
- Define measures for agent output quality so engineering teams can trust results without hand-reviewing them.
- Apply agent evaluation practices to testing Camunda 8’s non-deterministic AI capabilities.
- Work hands-on with product features to validate and improve the testing tooling.
- Develop quality patterns, tooling, and enablement that help product teams own quality themselves.
- Drive adoption of internally developed tools across teams that do not report to you.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience with daily production coding.
- Production experience building and owning test infrastructure, developer tooling, or internal platforms used by other engineers.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs or agent frameworks, including prompt and context design, tool use, handling non-determinism, and evaluating output quality.
- Comfort with distributed systems and CI at scale, including reasoning about concurrency, state, and timing.
- Ability to drive adoption of tools across teams and improve solutions when initial versions are not adopted.
- Ability and/or willingness to use the Camunda product.
- Preferred: experience evaluating or benchmarking LLM systems.
- Preferred: open-source contribution experience.
- Preferred: experience with Java, TypeScript, Python, Kubernetes, or Helm.
- Preferred: background in developer tooling or platform engineering.
