What is an Expert BI Analyst - Teknosys?

The Expert BI Analyst is a project-oriented role within the Data Analytics & BI Practice, responsible for the design, development, and implementation of enterprise BI solutions. You will be part of a dynamic consulting team delivering end-to-end solutions for a diverse portfolio of external clients, ranging from our core telecom business to new industry partners.

Working alongside cross-functional teams of data engineers and architects in a state-of-the-art analytics ecosystem, you will be accountable for managing client expectations and delivering high-impact technical services. This role offers the opportunity to gain exposure to large-scale environments and modern BI tools while bringing immediate value to the Teknosys team through your previous expertise.

What does an Expert BI Analyst - Teknosys do?

• Manage client expectations while delivering technical services across analysis, design, build, and integration of BI solutions.
• Design and maintain interactive dashboards and analytics solutions using leading platforms (Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, Qlik).
• Lead platform upgrades and migrations; ensure 99.9% uptime and perform essential performance tuning.
• Create robust dimensional and relational semantic layers to translate complex needs into actionable insights.
• Perform regular housekeeping activities, including content cleanup, extract/cache optimization, and user access reviews.
• Partner with Data Engineers on ETL/ELT pipelines and write optimized SQL for seamless data extraction.
• Maintain high-standard project documentation, including functional specifications, UAT scripts, and client handover manuals.
• Stay updated on AI+BI trends (e.g., Tableau Next, MicroStrategy Mosaic, and Power BI AI) to recommend proactive platform enhancements.
• Support self-service analytics adoption by building reusable datasets, metrics, and reports for business users.
• Provide project-based delivery or staff augmentation, including potential travel to client sites for short-term projects.

Requirements

What are we looking for and what does it require to be an Expert BI Analyst - Teknosys?

• 3+ years in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or related consulting roles.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field. (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Hands-on experience with at least one enterprise BI tool (Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, or Qlik).
• Strong understanding of data modeling techniques (Star and Snowflake schemas).
• Proficiency in SQL for querying, data validation, and transformation.
• Working knowledge of ETL/ELT tools and Cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Teradata, Oracle).
• A focus on client success and the agility to quickly grasp new industry domains (Finance, Retail, etc.) beyond the core Telecom sector.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks across multiple client engagements.
• Professional certifications in BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy) are highly preferred.
