Accounts Officer

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and review of departmental and university‑wide budgets.
- Manage payroll processing and ensure timely salary disbursement.
- Process provident fund permanent withdrawals and employee loan cases.
- Process advance salary payments as per approved policies.
- Process visiting faculty payments.
- Prepare monthly payments and oversee all matters related to EOBI and Social Security.
- Process employee reimbursements.
- Prepare periodic financial reports related to payroll, expenses, and budgets for management review.
- Assist in external audits by providing required schedules, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Carry out any other functions and duties assigned by the Director Finance and senior management from time to time.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in payroll processing, budgeting, or general accounting.
- Experience working with ERP systems, payroll software, and financial reporting tools will be an added advantage.
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
- Sound understanding of payroll administration, budgeting, and accounts payable processes.
- Knowledge of budgeting, financial controls, and reconciliation procedures.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CA‑Inter, CMA, or equivalent will be preferred.

- Cisco Routers, IP Routing Operations & Management for Campus WAN & Campus LAN.
