Job Purpose

To provide HSE leadership, facilitate ANPL in developing HSE Vision / HSE Strategy and systems for sustained good HSE performance and support for conformance to HSE Governance requirements.

Key Accountabilities

• Implement improvement plans to meet AkzoNobel objectives as defined in the Common platform with a special focus on SAQ & LSR requirements and ensure that annual SAQ-Reviews are performed
• Work closely with the Behaviour Based Safety (BBS) Steering Committee and offer advice relating to HSE matters.
• Maintain ISO14001 Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and ISO45001 Occupational Health &Safety Management Systems (OH&SMS )for the Site.
• Carry out HSE&S daily/monthly inspection/audit.
• Support Line Managers to ensure HSE&S and Corporate HSE&S SAQ comply with local HSE  regulations, AkzoNobel policy, directives, rules, and procedures.
• Participate in carrying out investigation and support to track follow-up actions identified from incidents or accidents investigations and share learnings from incidents/ accidents from other sites
• Assist in incident and crisis management.
• Consolidate HSE reports and submit HSE KPIs to Corporate, BA SMU, and site management and ensure compliant incident/accident reporting via the HSE suit in Enablon.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in an HSE role within the chemical industry.
• To excel in this role, candidates should demonstrate a strong results-driven mindset and a proactive "can-do" attitude.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, pragmatism, and an energetic management style are indispensable, as well as the ability to use product leadership as the key to persuading stakeholders
