The FI, Corporate and Public Sector Head is a key position responsible for leading the team and client relationships to deliver the firm’s overall product capability in TTS, Debt Financing, Markets and supporting on strategic investment banking dialogue. The portfolio comprises of FIG, Large Corporate and Public Sector clients.

Responsibilities:

Lead the team in Pakistan in managing portfolio of client relationships with varying/complex financial needs with the objective of revenue growth, efficient capital allocation and good credit quality in line with Citi’s credit standards, policies and processes
Develop and monitor a client driven franchise growth plan which is delivered through people and franchise management
Translate Citi’s strategy into an effective and efficient Banking business plan and drive a healthy balance between near-term and long-term priorities
Lead function’s close engagement with cluster and regional business heads, independent risk, regulators, and other control functions
Identify customer needs by driving effective client planning and recommend solutions to address these needs, such as financing, streamlining of cash management operations, foreign currency solutions.
Cross-sell banking products, including cash management, trade finance, trade services, structured trade products, foreign exchange, commodities, fixed income, loans (including syndicated, bilateral) and capital market products
Responsible for all credit aspects of the relationship including annual reviews, early problem recognition and remedial management
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Drive innovation, differentiation, speed to market and promote cross selling of products across the full ICG platform
Partner with Investment banking team to drive and execute episodic transactions and with key stakeholders, including Risk and GCM, to allocate capital prudently, appropriately and in adherence to all Citi risk policies
Ensure client relationships and proposed client solutions meet or exceed internal risk and return standards, including stringent ethical standards and anticipated future changes in the marketplace
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

15+ years of experience with a track record of developing high performing teams
Experience in people management
Comprehensive knowledge of Corporate Banking products in TTS, Markets and Debt Financing
Proven expertise in Risk assessment, credit analytics and financial modelling
Proven leadership skills and intellectual capability to create momentum and a collective agenda across multiple products with a diverse population and competing priorities
Demonstrated intellectual grasp of the industry and ability to anticipate and lead the organizational response to future changes and translate vision into executable plans
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with pragmatic approach to ensure limited resources are directed appropriately
Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master's/MBA degree preferred from a top economics, business, or financial engineering program
