Position Overview
As an Optometrist based in Sukkur, you will be an integral part of our school eye screening program. Your role will involve conducting field visits to schools, performing eye exams, identifying vision issues, and educating both children and teachers about eye health. You will also provide guidance on how they can manage minor vision issues on their own. Occasionally, you will be called to the office to discuss program results and contribute to the overall strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct eye examinations and vision assessments for children in schools.
Identify and diagnose common refractive errors and other vision issues.
Provide appropriate corrective measures, including prescribing glasses or referring for further medical evaluation.
Assist in educating children and teachers about the importance of eye health and how they can manage minor issues on their own.
Collaborate with school staff and V4E teams to ensure efficient screening processes.
Maintain accurate records of screenings, referrals, and follow-up treatments.
Participate in occasional office meetings to discuss program results and provide insights.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Optometry or Ophthalmic Science.
Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in optometry (excluding internships).
Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with children, teachers, and their families.
Willingness to travel extensively within Sukkur to various schools.
A passion for promoting children's eye health and education.
