Yext is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing and dynamic international accounting team! This is a hands-on position with a mix of accounting and operational duties! This role will be responsible for assisting in the day to day transaction processing and accounting for international accounts, focused primarily on the payroll and statutory reporting processes, while will include preparing journal entries and account reconciliations in connection with the monthly close process, and performing financial analysis on an as-needed basis.

What You'll Do

Participate in various accounting functions to include; preparing reconciliations and roll forwards, account analysis and processing month end journal entries for a variety of G/L accounts, and other monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and reporting processes
Collaborate with global payroll team and external service providers to reconcile and record all payroll activity, review and reconcile settlement of payroll liabilities, and prepare monthly and annual payroll account reconciliations on a legal entity basis
Facilitate processing of intercompany transactions, ensuring accurate recording, reconciliation, and settlement of balances.
Assist in implementing accounting policies and procedures to ensure all financial transactions are completed according to GAAP principles
Design, test, and implement process improvements and system enhancements in collaboration with IT, to drive efficiency and scalability across financial processes.
Manage processes in accordance with SOX control requirements, ensuring adequate identification and mitigation of control risks and documentation of control procedures.
Work with independent auditors to provide support for audited financial statements under various statutory reporting jurisdictions
Manipulate and reconcile large volumes of data in Excel from various internal systems and the general ledger
Coordinate with HR and other departments to address payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues.
Provide ad-hoc analysis to the team when requested

What You Have

BA/BS degree in Accounting or related field
4+ years experience in accounting, with exposure to payroll or compensation related accounts
Working understanding of GAAP / IFRS
Ability to manipulate and manage large amounts of data
Ability to identify problems and discrepancies, independently perform research and analysis of causes, and recommend corrective actions
Collaborative style with the ability to communicate clearly and precisely on technical and operational issues
Must be detail and results-oriented with an ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced, and constantly evolving environment
Ability to evaluate priorities and multi-task accordingly while keeping others apprised of status with respect to deadlines
Excellent written and formal presentation skills
Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint

Bonus Points

Big 4 public accounting or public/private company corporate accounting experience;
Chartered accountant (CA)/CPA or working towards completing a CPA/CA
Familiarity with Netsuite, Coupa, Tableau
